Mara Frischherz

Mara's career has taken her through art to midwifery. After working as a photographer and retoucher for many years, she decided to study midwifery in 2015.

From 2018 to 2023 she worked in labour and delivery at the University Hospital in Bern and now specializes in preconception, pregnancy and the postpartum period as a self-employed midwife.

Her further training in the field of mental health includes, among other things, RRP (Relationship Recovery Process) with Patrick Teahan, trauma-sensitive midwifery care, hypnosis for pregnancy and birth, dealing with obsessive thoughts during pregnancy and the postpartum period and family support in the event of the early death of a child.

Salome Carvalho

After a brief detour into science, Salome began her midwifery studies in 2011.
Because evidence-based practice and the advancement of the midwifery profession are close to her heart, she completed her Master’s degree in Midwifery in 2022. Since 2016, she has been supporting families during birth as a certified midwife and is currently part of the midwifery team at the City Hospital Triemli in Zurich.

Through various trainings and continuing education programs, she has acquired extensive knowledge in the field of perinatal mental health and is trained as a trauma counselor. In addition, she has completed further training in supporting families experiencing the early death of a child, as well as pregnancy and post partum care for families who have experienced trauma.

​

Salome offers pregnancy and postpartum care, birth preparation, and counseling in Zurich’s districts 7 and 8, and surrounding communities.

​

She speaks Swiss German, German, and English.
